Congrats to "Blueberries for Sal"!! Love Robert McCloskey!

More contests like this would be just lovely - perhaps they could be themed so that there could be more (and more, and more) of them!! :)

Another berry book I love is "Blueberry Mountain" - an older kids' chapter book by Stephen Meader. Do you read his stuff? So good!!! And SO good for boys. One of our favorites is "River of the Wolves."

Thanks for holding that contest - so much fun!

Yay for Maine! We are there right now. It's where we spend every summer with family. It's American childhood at its finest here.

That sounds beautiful!

Linking the answers to Amazon. Genuis! Now excuse me while I go explain to my husband why I just spent. $30 on picture books. 🤣

We had somehow never read Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel, but this series encouraged me to put it on our library list! We read it and enjoyed it last night. Thanks for putting good picture books on our radar! (And thanks for the summer reading bingo shoutout. 😊)

Now to read the other books by Virginia Lee Burton. Choo Choo is excellent. Little House has lots of vehicles, but a storyline more in keeping with adult interests imho. Katy is fantastic.

She has so many good ones! We could have a whole bracket just for her.

Yes, I really liked The Little House!

The Great American Chapter Book would be a good one! I'm thinking middle grade books. As we go into summer, a vote on all time favorite summer books would be fun as well! I love seeing what others are reading.

Yes! Both great ideas!
