I don't often theme our reading, but St Patrick's Day is next week so we'll break out the Tomie dePaola book. I just finished The Secret Adversary for myself and started Castle of Otranto. I am also reading all 4 gospels before Easter.
I started Feb 18 reading the gospels. I use the Cetana app to create a Bible reading plan, and the extensive notes by church fathers on there help me when something makes me puzzled. It's like 2-3 chapters a day, which I mostly tackle after the kids go to bed.
The hard part is I ALSO committed again to reading the Old Testament in a year so it's like 5 chapters a day 😅 but it's an excellent way to prepare for Easter!
One Easter book I loved as a child is The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes. I should see if my parents still have it...
