I love Corduroy as much as the next person, but Miss Rumphius has got a much better story. Save Miss. Rumphius!

I love this!! I am going to ask my kids their opinions too.

I feel like Frog and Toad vs Very Hungry Caterpillar is not a fair pairing lol. One has a story and one is just my toddler before dinner.

Putting Owl Moon and Robert McClosky against each other is almost unfair!

I had a hard time making the pairings. There are so many great American books!

Oh this one is really difficult! So many wonderful titles, but also some of our all time favorites are missing like Time Of Wonder and All the Places to Love. And no Jan Brett or Tomie DePaola? It's hard to imagine our bookshelves without them.

We do have The Hat by Jan Brett. I left out Time of Wonder because there are already two Robert McCloskey books….so many books deserve to be on the list. It’s hard to limit it to sixteen.

Oh my bad. I forgot about The Hat. Yes, it is so hard. Thankful for so many beautiful picture books.
